The Philippine Children’s Medical Center is one of the government-owned and controlled corporate National Centers for Specialized Health Care under the Department of Health. It is a 200-bed capacity tertiary hospital with a mandate to provide pediatric care, offer training programs for medical and allied health care providers, and be a center in clinical research.
It offers a wide array of general and subspecialty services in pediatrics, surgery and allied medicine. It has training programs involving general pediatrics, adolescent medicine, ambulatory medicine, hematology and oncology, infectious disease, nephrology, pulmonology, intensive care, neonatology, neurodevelopmental pediatrics, psychiatry, neurology, perinatology, pediatric gynecology, pediatric surgery, pediatric and perinatal anesthesia, radiology, dentistry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, medical technology and nursing. Lastly, it has produced researches relevant to the day-to-day care of the well and sick child. |

Metro Iloilo Bulk Water Supply Corporation (MIB) is the bulk water supplier of Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD), the water utility that provides water for Iloilo City, and the municipalities Cabatuan, Leganes, Maasin, Oton, Pavia, San Miguel and Santa Barbara in the Province of Iloilo. On May 5, 2016, Metro Pacific Water and the MIWD signed a Joint Venture Agreement for the supply of up to 170 MLD of bulk treated water to MIWD. In less than 2 months since it started operations, MIB recovered 6 MLD of treated bulk water through various efficiency measures in the Sta. Barbara Treatment Plant. In 2017, power efficiency projects from production wells were implemented by MIB resulting to a reduction of 0.16 kWh/cu.m. or Php 420,000 in power costs per month. MIB also extended assistance to MIWD in their non-revenue water reduction programs across Metro Iloilo. Currently, MIB supplies 45 MLD of treated bulk water to MIWD and plans to expand production capacity by an additional 15 MLD by August 2018. |

Its mandate is to specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation and treatment of kidney allied disease through dialysis and transplantation. It focuses on service, training and research field of renal diseases and organ transplantation.

This year the Ateneo de Manila University celebrates its 156th anniversary and marks 156 years of the return of Jesuit Education to the Philippines in December. |
